If you’re looking for a rugby tour that delivers sun, rugby, and a nightlife scene to rival anywhere in Europe, Mallorca is the place. This isn’t your typical rugby destination — it’s where tough fixtures meet golden beaches, buzzing bars, and memories that last long after you’ve flown home.
Rugby on the island is thriving. With five established clubs — El Toro, Shamrock, Ponent, Mallorca Bocs, and Dimonis — plus a developing academy side, touring teams are guaranteed competitive opposition and a warm Balearic welcome. Games are played on quality 3G pitches, with post-match hospitality spilling from BBQs at the ground into partner bars along the coast. Ask Maesteg Harlequins, who ended up celebrating with their hosts at the Shamrock Bar in Palma port after a fierce encounter. That’s Mallorca rugby: competitive on the pitch, unforgettable off it.
Palmanova is the perfect base, close to the action and even closer to the nightlife. Spring tours offer unbeatable value, while May and June bring big crowds and bigger energy. And if you want something truly unique, time your visit for the Mallorca Beach Rugby Festival on Magaluf Beach — one of Europe’s biggest and best.
Mallorca isn’t just a rugby tour. It’s an excellent rugby adventure.

The island is home to five established clubs – El Toro, Shamrock, Ponent, Mallorca Bocs & Dimonis – plus an academy side linked to El Toro.
Clubs run full mini, junior, and women’s sections, making fixtures possible for all ages and abilities.
Games are played on quality 3G pitches around Palmanova, with council-owned facilities well suited for touring squads.
Post-match is legendary – from BBQs at the ground to celebrating together in partner bars along the coast.
Mallorca also hosts the Beach Rugby Festival in Magaluf every May Bank Holiday – one of Europe’s biggest events, with men’s, women’s, and veterans’ teams competing on the sand.
On the island we work with Rafabus, a trusted coach firm offering a fleet of modern executive vehicles in all sizes. They’re flexible, reliable, and well used to working with touring squads. Transfers are smooth, timings are spot on, and the value is excellent — making group travel across Mallorca simple and stress-free.
The UK is brilliantly connected to Palma de Mallorca Airport, with flights from most major airports. Over the past two seasons we’ve mainly booked squads with Jet2, while British Airways also offer solid options from Heathrow. Budget carriers like EasyJet and Ryanair run plenty of services too, though prices can rise quickly in peak season as the island is such a popular weekend getaway.
Our go-to base in Mallorca is Tent Palmanova — easily our most popular option with touring squads. Just 20–30 minutes from the airport and right in the centre of Palmanova, it’s spot on for rugby groups. The staff are brilliant with teams, the pool and bar area are always a hit, and the legendary Banana Joe’s is just across the street. There’s even a small gym on-site, and like all Tent hotels, a free brunch runs from 8am right through to 1:30pm — perfect for flexible matchday schedules.
For those looking to base themselves in Magaluf, the brand-new Tent Calvia Beach and Tent Mojito Suites are excellent alternatives. Both hotels sit in great locations, offer a slightly higher spec, and — for Spring/Summer 2026 — are actually coming in a little cheaper than Palmanova.
