If England was to have a Rugby Heartland, the West Country would be it. This may raise an eyebrow with some readers in that part of the world, but the temptation to add ‘& Bristol’ to this entry and band it together as one is very strong. Both Bath Rugby and Bristol Bears provide top-level opportunities with visits to their respective training bases. The Bears High Performance Centre is state of the art, slick and incredibly impressive. Farleigh House is a grand, opulent Georgian estate moulded into an equally remarkable Rugby venue. With great budget accommodation in both cities, an abundance of Rugby to be had & of course a choice of which Premiership game to watch, Bath (& Bristol!) is a safe bet for a domestic tour in 2025.
The unofficial home of the Rugby Tour. Irish Rugby & in particular Leinster is a sporting juggernaut which shows no signs of slowing. A trip to the fair city will give you a big taste of that as well as the Black Stuff, the other famous export from Ireland. Follow the footsteps of the Ireland team and train at the Sport Ireland High Performance Centre, catch a Leinster game at the RDS and challenge yourselves against some great clubs. We prefer a visit to the home of the GAA at Croke Park over a visit to the clinical AVIVA, but both remain available. Traditionally an expensive city to visit, teams often have to drop a tier or two on the accommodation front to make it feasible, but a busy itinerary and a great rugby experience soon makes up for it.
The city on the Welsh Border, a stones-throw from both Liverpool and Manchester is our #1 location for teams partaking in their first ‘proper’ tour as a Junior Team. This unique city is a mash of Tudor and Roman influence and a great, relaxed city to spend a family-based weekend. We’re close partners with the local club Chester RUFC, themselves with excellent facilities and regular hosts of our touring teams. Sale Sharks are a hop up the M56, a trip which is only improved with a stop off at the awesome Chill Factor Indoor Ski Centre.
The home of Italian Rugby franchise Zebre, the Italian Culinary Capital and one of the must underrated of Italian tourist destinations, Parma has been a mainstay for our best Italian Rugby Experiences for a decade. We’ve a great partnership with Rugby Colorno, a magnificent club close to Parma who compete in the top-tier of the game at Senior level & have one of the countries most revered youth programmes. Following a match here, visit the home of Ferrari, embrace the Italian love of Motorsport with a Go-Kart Grand Prix and tuck into some of the best food there is, anywhere.
Our favourite destination in England. In great striking distance for tourists from the North-West, Yorkshire & the Midlands, Newcastle boasts one of the country’s most beautiful city centres. Vast Georgian streets make way for the stunning Quayside, once a hub of industry and export. The region is an often overlooked Rugby area too. In the city itself & nearby Co. Durham and Northumberland, there are some brilliant community clubs with superb facilities. Whilst their best days may be well into the past/well into the future, a night at Kingston Park catching a Newcastle Falcons match is a worthy addition too. Their AGP Pitch is open to everyone & it is a regular addition to play a local club at this impressive venue.
Our game in Belgium, and nearby Netherlands for that matter, has intrinsic ties to the influence of touring teams from France and the UK. Clubs are generally a treasure trove of ‘pinches’ and gifts. This touring tradition remains strong in Belgium. Antwerp has quickly risen to the top of our recommendations list as from here, you can access games either side of the nearby Dutch border. As the game develops in the region, the demands of League & Representative Rugby reduce the ‘free’ weekends that were once in abundance. By staying in this stunning Gothic masterpiece of a city, you have the unique opportunity to play in two countries during your next tour. Antwerp is also very accessible for teams travelling to the continent via ferry from Dover, North Shields or Hull.
There is no other city like it. Golden Beaches, the Gothic Quarter, vast Plazas, a sporting powerhouse & magnificent year-round weather, Barcelona is a treat to visit for a tour. Spanish Rugby is on a persistent and consistent upwards curve & it is evident nowhere more than Barcelona and Catalonia. The clubs are a thriving hub of activity & the standard of the game at youth level in particular is exceptional, almost as good as their 'Tercer Tiempo' after match Third-Half culture. One of the best-served cities to fly to from the UK, this one will take some beating on a committee table full of options.
Our old favourite. We have arranged more tours into Scotland’s capital city than anywhere else. A mainstay in our top-destinations for nearly two decades, this is a stellar venue for a tour for any ages. Kick off the tour with a guest session from Scottish Rugby royalty, get pitch-side at the awesome new Hive Stadium & visit some of the oldest Rugby Clubs in the World for a game. Keep an eye out for our exciting U13 & U14 Festival on Easter Weekend in partnership with Edinburgh Academical FC.
Rugby was introduced to Germany in this very town in the 1860’s via the University, itself, the oldest in the country. Now, this beautiful town on the River Necker boasts five clubs, with four of them competing for honours in the top-level Bundesliga. German Rugby flirted with the top table around a decade ago, but that challenge has fallen away, however, the grassroots of the game remains strong in this pure-bred Rugby Town. With flights readily available into nearby Frankfurt, this option is certainly one to consider for touring youth teams seeking something different.
This incredible new destination has raced to the top of the charts for 2025. Italy’s most beautiful city has long been on the front pages of Tourist Guides, but it is only in recent years it has landed on the Rugby Map thanks to the incredible Payanini Centre, the spectacular home of Rugby Verona. Whether it be a training-focused itinerary, or a strong Italian Rugby experience, the venue will play a huge part in the itinerary when you’re not Kayaking Lake Garda, enjoying the Valpolicella vinyards & of course exploring the stunning streets of Verona.
