St. Andrews Rugby Development Retreat

SHS have partnered with the University of St. Andrews and the Magic Academy to bring you an in-depth Rugby Development experience which provides the unique opportunity to learn from the leaders of our sport in an incredible setting.

Introduction

In the summer of 2022, Sky High Sports are bringing together World Cup Winners, International Coaches, World-Class Rugby Administrators & renowned thought leaders of the game to St Andrews for a Rugby Development Retreat open to those looking to supercharge their skillset and experience within the game at one of Britain's most beautiful destinations.

Hosted by the University of St Andrews, the intensive programme will combine on-pitch coach education with a series of lectures, talks and workshops in the ancient theatres within the University.

The Coach Education schedule has been designed in full by former England U18 and RFU Pathway lead John Fletcher. 'Fletch' is considered a maestro in player development and the ethos of a player led approach.

Off the pitch, we'll draw upon unmatched experiences of growing clubs; recruiting, retaining & engaging players, the business of rugby & the vitally important elements of sponsorship & finances.

Accommodation will be on-site in university apartments, meaning you can fall out of your room onto the immaculate Rugby Fields and lecture theatres within the university.

Away from the course, there'll be plenty opportunity for networking with fellow delegates, dinners with guests at St Andrews finest venues & of course an opportunity for 18-Holes of what St. Andrews is most famously known for.
