Since day one, we’ve never really been ones to accept limits. If there’s an obstacle, we’re the team that’s eager to find a way around it. Where some might settle for “good enough,” we just can’t help but aim higher.
We like to do things differently, with a bit of mischief, always looking for a better way, asking the right questions, and finding brilliant solutions.
Our journey began as a one-person start-up with a vision to redefine Rugby Touring. Today, we’re a global operator, trusted by teams across the Rugby World, proof that challenging norms and holding fast to our values leads to lasting success.
Every tour we create is purposeful, meticulously prepared, and memorable for all the right reasons. We never settle for off-the-shelf solutions. Every itinerary is built from the ground up, matched to the unique character, level, and ambitions of each team.

The rocket-ship symbolises our relentless ambition and drive to set new standards in Rugby Touring. It reflects our belief that when you put in the hard work and attention to detail, the score, as Bill Walsh says, will take care of itself. Every tour we deliver is built on this energy and commitment to excellence.
The oval shape is a clear nod to the Rugby Ball, anchoring our business in the sport’s traditions and values. As proud custodians of Rugby’s touring heritage, we are dedicated to leaving the game and its rituals stronger than which we found them.
The Rugby Ball shape reminds us daily to uphold the highest standards, just as the legends of the game have done on paddocks across the world.
The interlinking elements capture our role as a vital link in our clients’ journeys, be it connecting teams, players, and communities. Richie launched SHS in 2009, driven by a mission to redefine the rugby tour industry, a passion that’s still going strong.
He’s a former front-row forward with playing stints across England and Italy, and now heads up Commercial Operations at Tynedale RFC, indulging his passion for grassroots sports & the opportunities it can present.
An Italian and Spanish speaker, Richie is a familiar face on tours to Italy and Spain and leads our Long Haul adventures, always bringing his energy and expertise to every trip.
With SHS since 2013, Jamie is an exceptional operator & combines great experience & a flair for delivering world-class tours. A recently-retired, one-dimensional centre, who's breeze-blocked handling ability and unorthodox defensive style never affected his infectious love of the game and great success on the field.
Jamie specialises in delivering excellent Youth & Senior Rugby Tours across Europe and possesses an alarming energy whilst on tour, making him a brilliant asset as Tour Representative for many touring teams each season on our European Tours.
Elizabeth joined SHS in 2023, quickly raising the bar with her world-class approach to customer experience and financial control.
After relocating from Oxford, Liz brought a stellar background in finance that’s helped streamline our processes and fuel our growth.
Outside the office, Liz is training as a yoga instructor and cherishes time with her family and grandchildren, bringing balance and calm to everything she does.
Kirsty came to SHS from the outdoor education world, instantly making her mark on our Mini Rugby Tours with her operational know-how. Her experience has been invaluable as SHS has grown, and she’s known for her warmth and creativity.
Away from work, Kirsty’s a passionate home cook, always delighting friends and family with worldly creations. Earlier in 2025, she welcomed baby Darcie Mae, and we can’t wait to have her back after her well-deserved maternity leave.
Elaine joined SHS in 2022 and has played a key role in elevating our operational game. When she’s not keeping tours running smoothly, she’s a dedicated personal trainer and advocate for women’s health and fitness.
Elaine’s a passionate whiz with spreadsheets, but also loves stand-up paddleboarding and spending weekends with her dogs and horses—balancing precision at work with fun and adventure outside it.
Rachel is the mastermind behind our tour activities and food arrangements, as well as our go-to for group flights. She came to SHS from a top Newcastle event agency, bringing creativity, logistical flair, and a calm approach to every challenge.
Rachel’s experience with weddings means rugby tours are a breeze—and when she’s off duty, you’ll spot her enjoying a spicy margarita before cheering on Newcastle United at St James’ Park.
Jake brings a wealth of Rugby know-how to SHS, with impressive playing and coaching credentials. A respected fly-half in England’s National Leagues, he’s also a standout on the Sevens circuit and co-founder of the BOOM Beavers.
Jake’s rugby journey started at Newcastle Falcons Academy, and he’s now a Level 3 coach and Backs Coach at Northumbria University, always ready to share his insight and passion with every team. Away from work, Jake, a passionate dog-lover, enjoys long walks and travelling across the country catching up with friends.
Based in our London office, Tom looks after teams across the South-East and leads our brilliant Mini Rugby Tours in the region.
He joined SHS straight out of university and has built up our London base with real success.
One of the worlds few Crystal Palace fans, Tom’s loyalty to Selhurst Park (and a few unlucky injuries) have shaped his rugby path, though he still turns out for Battersea Ironsides when he can, always bringing his enthusiasm to work and play alike.
