The Third Half

The foundations of our great game and the reason we do what we do.

Post-Match Hospitality

We all know there’s far more to rugby than what happens between the referee’s whistles. For most of us, the real magic begins after the final one blows. The post-match pint, the shared meal, the stories that get bigger with every retelling — in many ways, that’s what touring is all about.

The term “Third Half” — or Terzo Tempo, as they call it in Italy — sums it up perfectly. It’s a rugby tradition that celebrates the bond between opponents once the battle’s done. Italian legend Diego Dominguez put it best:

“The third half brings together all the players of both teams, who offer drinks, food, and friendship — as happens between friends.”

We couldn’t agree more. The Italians might have fine wine and food on their side, but there’s nothing wrong with mince and tatties next to a pint of Guinness either.

When we arrange fixtures, we don’t just find you a game — we connect you with a club that loves the sport as much as you do. The match itself is just 80 minutes; the memories made after it are what truly define a rugby tour. Seeing two teams, two cultures, and one shared passion come together — that’s the heartbeat of every Sky High Sports tour.
